Off again, leaving behind the actually quite decent British weather off to pre-monsoon Kathmandu, which feels very "currently monsoon" given the thunderstorms and lightening going on outside the door here

Qatar Airways pretty decent, on time, and changed planes in Doha (Qatar), where they were kind enough to sell me a litre of Absolute Vanilia for 6 quid. Landing in Kathmandu not as intimidating as had been lead to believe.

Have landed sweet hotel room for 6 quid a night, including 60 cable channels, including the footie... Fears of missing Champions League final diminishing.

Outline itinerary for those of you who care, a week here in Kathmandu, probably with a couple of days off chasing Asian tigers. Leave Kathmandu for tibet on 27th May, travel through Tibet and China for four weeks until I hit Beijing on/around 23rd June. Beijing for a week or so, then hopefully taking the Trans-Siberian via Ulaan Baator in Mongolia, Irkutsk in Russia, and then Moscow. Probably then hopping on a train to Riga to fly home curtusy of RyanAir...

Kathmandu appears to be well up with the times, so should be able to post some photos quite easily.
